That’s John Erick Dowdle’s (Devil) As Above, So Below trailer. Did you check it out? You might not want to because it feels like it gives away the game on this psychological horror movie set beneath the streets of Paris.

The film follows a group of explorers who get lost in the legendary Parisian catacombs, home to a mass grave. Apparently something terrible is there and it’s made for the excellent poster below.

From the official synopsis:

Miles of twisting catacombs lie beneath the streets of Paris, the eternal home to countless souls. When a team of explorers ventures into the uncharted maze of bones, they uncover the dark secret that lies within this city of the dead. A journey into madness and terror, As Above, So Below reaches deep into the human psyche to reveal the personal demons that come back to haunt us all.

It sounds like The Descent without the feral Morlocks. Feel free to embiggen that very, very excellent poster and see a couple of stills of people panicking in the dark.

As Above, So Below (god, I love that title) opens August 15th.
