While many of us have a nostalgic place in our hearts for the original Karate Kid franchise, the YouTube Red revival Cobra Kai really could have gone either way. However, Cobra Kai turned out to be, much like its original source material, gripping, endearing, and, most importantly, engaging to watch. It’s no surprise, then, that stars William Zabka and Ralph Macchio—Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso in the series—will be hitting the mats again for a second season.

YouTube announced today that Cobra Kai will show up for round two next year, with Macchio, Zabka, and all of the first season’s regular performers. The season will run a total of 10 episodes.

The dojo reopens when Cobra Kai returns in 2019.
