The relationship between Karen (Jessy Schram) and Hal (Drew Roy) got a little complicated in the third season of TNT’s alien invasion drama Falling Skies. I mean, what are you supposed to do when your girlfriend gets indoctrinated by evil aliens and then tries to destroy you and the remaining human resistance you belong to? When is enough enough?

In this exclusive Falling Skies season 3 clip from the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release – out next week from Warner Brothers Home Video – Schram and Roy talk about their characters’… challenging relationship.

“Karen was the first time [Hal] truly felt connected to someone,” Roy says in the clip.

Without spoiling the action in season three, that connection is broken as Karen, under the control of the Eshpeni, pushes hard to destroy Hal, his family, and the other members of the Second Mass resistance.

Here’s a rundown of season three from Warner Brothers Home Video:

Available on a 3 Disc DVD and 2 Disc Blu-ray, the #1 hit TNT series Falling Skies is back with all ten 44 minute episodes from the series 3rd season, plus 3 hours of Special Features! Falling Skies season three opens seven months after the 2nd Mass arrived in Charleston. Tom (Noah Wyle) has been elected as a political official of Charleston, but he has his hands full as the resistance continues to battle the alien invaders. The newly formed alliance Tom formed with a new alien race gains them their first real advantage in the war against the invading Espheni.

Falling Skies: The Complete Third Season will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on June 3rd.
