It’s nice to see Oliver putting John in locales we normally don’t seem him venture to, and his encounter with the Djinn seems like it’ll be a nice change of pace and a novel spin on situations the Hellblazer’s been in before. And Tan’s art really pops in these preview pages, marrying a weird, esoteric sensibility to Oliver’s words.

From the official issue description:

“The Smokeless Fire” part 1! Constantine once heard a ghost story in a Parisian bar, and maybe the old man wasn’t just telling tales. So he takes Mercury in search of the only man he knows who’s encountered the Djinn. Problem is, they’re not the only people looking!
