In less than two months, Disney’s live-action version of its animated classic Beauty and the Beast will drop in theaters, retelling how the well-read and kind Belle (Emma Watson) softens the heart of the reclusive  and grousing Beast (Dan Evans). While fans of the 1991 cartoon are more than familiar with the characters, songs, and narrative beats of the tale, this new incarnation looks to bring what made the original so engaging and charming, as well as bringing everything current technology has to offer.

The last trailer for the film before the big release just hit the Internet, giving a Reader’s Digest version of the plot, complete with inklings as to why Belle is so dissatisfied with her life pre-Beast and hints as to how the Beast’s curse can be lifted. Oh, and a preening Gaston (Luke Evans) is always good for a chuckle!

Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, and Dan Stevens, hits theaters March 17, 2017 from Walt Disney Studios.
