Samantha Bee’s TBS weekly comedy series Full Frontal has been renewed for a second season. It’s a good thing, too, because if the past few weeks in political news are any indication, we’re going to need her pull-no-punches brand of satire that’s willing to point out when the emperor ain’t wearing any clothes.
According to the Associated Press, when Full Frontal returns on January 11, the series will switch from Monday to Wednesday night, retaining its 10:30 PM time slot. Bee, much like she did during her time on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, hasn’t put up with anyone’s nonsense this election cycle, calling out bullshit when she sees it and smells it.
Bee joked that her show’s renewal will leave her too tied up to accept a cabinet position with President-Elect Trump’s administration, but that’s quite okay. We need you, Sam, maybe more now than ever before.
