The brand spankin’ new trailer for this summer’s Ghostbusters film reboot, with director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) at the helm has just hit the interwebs and, if the nearly three minutes of footage is any indication, it’ll put the naysayers’ gripes with the project to rest. (Maybe not, because this is the Internet, but eh, I’m jazzed, so whatevs.) The clips starring Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, and Kate McKinnon do call back to the original 1984 film starring Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis, and Bill Murray in some ways, the library scene in particular. However, the conceit of the story is fresh enough to give fans who think they’ve seen it all (because, again, the Internet) something new to enjoy. McKinnon and Jones’ performances in particular are enough for me to give the theater all of my cash.

Ghostbusters, directed by Paul Feig and starring Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Melissa McCarthy, hits theaters July 17.
