Although this month’s Batman v Superman: Who Gets Custody of Krypto? (or Dawn of Justice, I forget) is the DC/Warner Bros. film getting all the attention lately, that doesn’t mean that August’s Suicide Squad isn’t experiencing some cross-promotional love. Today, Suicide Squad director David Ayer took to Twitter to give fans a taste of the villain-centric movie with a new teaser poster.

Pretty sweet/tasty/yummy/other puns, right? For real, though: Pretty jazzed about this movie and Ayer has an excellent track record with the gritty, down-and-dirty moving picture shows–Training DayFuryEnd of Watch, for just a few examples–so I’m hopeful.

Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman, hits theaters August 5th.
