Because I’m emotionally 12-years-old, one of the parts of the new extended trailer for season six of The Venture Bros., debuting this month, that made me guffaw a bit too loudly is when Dr. Venture accidentally sends one of his sons a junk shot with his wrist communicator. While it’s that kind of humor that has made the Adult Swim series a staple in the station’s lineup during its previous five seasons, old man junk shots aren’t the only things keeping viewers coming back for more. For a taste of what’s to come in the lives of Dr. Venture, Brock, Hank, Dean, and the rest of the gaggle of misfits, check out this extended trailer that Adult Swim dropped for our eye-mouths to gobble up!
Not only is the footage filled with Team Venture crunkin’ or ballin’ or trappin’ or whatever it is young people do these days in the family’s spankin’ new Manhattan digs, it’s filled with puns and nods to superfolk like MODOK and Hawkeye and Black Widow and Green Arrow, and a little Mad Max: Fury Road sprinkled in for good measure. If we don’t see at least one scene of Hank spraying silver on his lips and shouting something about “shiny and chrome,” I’m going to be more than a bit disappointed.
Season six of The Venture Bros. drops on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network on at midnight ET January 31st.
