During last night’s episode of Gotham, a new trailer for June’s Wonder Woman dropped, and hot damn. Not to speak ill of past DC Universe films in the least, but each new trailer that Warner Bros. releases makes me less worried about the future of the DCU.

If you watched the History Channel’s Superheroes Decoded on Sunday and Monday nights, you had the chance to see Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins talk passionately about her love of the character and what she means to our broader pop culture consciousness. Judging by what footage we’ve seen so far, that passion is translating in a compelling, comprehensible, and enjoyable way with the Gal Gadot vehicle. And we’re jazzed.

Wonder Woman debuts June 2nd.
