While Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is mentioned in passing in many comic book tales, it’s rarely used as a conceit to jump-start a story. Writer Serge Lehman and artist Stephane Crety look to use PTSD not only as a plot device, however, but as an examination of how trauma shapes us long after the fact in Titan Comics’ Masked #1, hitting comic shops November 23rd. (Oh, and the book is chock-full of crazy phenomena, just for good measure.)

Masked #1, written by Serge Lehman with Stephane Crety on art, goes on sale November 23 from Titan Comics.

From the official issue description:

Frank Braffort has returned from war suffering from PTSD, but he is thrown headfirst into a terrifying new reality where phenomena, called Anomalies, appear out of nowhere. Facing this mysterious and lethal enemy, Braffort is called on to go into battle once again for the safety of the city!
