Oh, the look of this thing. And the music. And the look again. DrinkBox Studios, you have my interest piqued.

This is Severed, from the team behind Guacamelee!, the Vita/PS3/PC platformer was no slouch either when it came to visuals and music (and it’s pretty playable to boot). Their latest puts you in the role of a “distraught warrior” trying to piece together her past in a non-linear adventure. And it’s in first person with what DrinkBox is describing as “light” RPG elements.

For the record, the score will be by Suicide Squeeze artists YAMANTAKA // SONIC TITAN (you should check them out), who will be joined by Pantayo (ditto).

DrinkBox hasn’t announced what platforms Severed will be coming to, but it’ll be coming to them in 2015. From the the looks of all of the swiping and such, there might be some touch controls involved, so I’m guessing the Vita at the very least.
