One thing that Netflix has consistently hit the mark on with each of its Marvel series is striking the right tone for each of its Marvel heroes. From Daredevil to Jessica Jones to Luke Cage, the lighting, the color palette, and the music are appropriate to the heroes’ street-level world. That’s why, while I never thought to couple a Marvel series with a Nirvana song, the lyrics of “Come As You Are” seem wholly fitting for the teaser for 2017’s Defenders series, released today at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Defenders will assemble Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage (whose series hits in September), and Iron Fist (whose series just finished shooting) to stop someone as-yet unknown threat.

While you’re bathing in all of this Marvel/Netflix goodness, be sure to check out the teaser for Luke Cage, which also hit SDCC today!
