After 14 years, the story of Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle and the residents of his adopted home of Patience, USA, will come to a close—but not without the big bombast and even bigger danger for our favorite alien-turned-undercover doctor.
In April 2026, Dark Horse Comics and Resident Alien creators Peter Hogan (Tom Strong) and Steve Parkhouse (Bojeffries Saga) will release the final chapter in the beloved science fiction comic that stretched over a decade and inspired the hist SyFy and USA television series with the one-shot Resident Alien: One More Time for the Road!

When Harry first came to Earth, he had intentions to stay undercover and keep prying human eyes from discovering his secret. Since then, things have changed rapidly, both extraterrestrially and on our world. While former federal agents Jones and representatives from Harry’s home world are attempting to have Earth’s nations join the Circle of Worlds, things are a little more contentious back on Patience. Harry’s secret is dangerously close to being revealed and he might just be confronting why members of his race warned him of the sometimes-violent nature of humanity.
“At the very beginning of this story, Harry Vanderspeigle was lying low because he was scared about what might happen to him if he got caught,” confirms Hogan. “His own race had warned him just how dangerous Earth people could be. Now we’re going to find out just how right they were.”
We’re huge fans of the Resident Alien saga—just check out our past coverage for more—which is why we’re so excited—and a little sad—to see Harry’s tale come to a close on April 15, 2026, with Resident Alien: One More Time for the Road from Dark Horse Comics.
