2025 was the year of All Things Toxie, with the Legendary Pictures/Troma Entertainment film released this past summer and AHOY Comics going all in with series based on the hero and his world. However, 2026 looks to be just as strong a year for The Toxic Avenger, with AHOY movie ahead with the speed of irradiated atoms. The Toxic Avenger Comics title has been particularly fun, with the phenomenal Matt Bors (Justice Warriors: Vote Harder) handling writing duties and a whole host of talented artists who do Toxie justice. The first seven issues of the series threw the spotlight on different genres, from crime to romance to fantasy and more.

And next month, The Toxic Avenger finds himself smack in the middle of a whole new adventure in The Toxic Avenger Comics #8! From the creative team of Bors and artist Fred Harper, this issue continues “Toxie Goes to Washington,” the latest story arc in the series, an installment that throws a new monkey wrench into the mix: Doctor Planet! Allied with the Planet Teens, the Doctor slugs it out with our hero in the United States capitol, with the venerated monuments of the city in the crossfire. Bors and Harper continue to defy expectations and take readers on a ride in which they never know what comes next. This latest development with Doctor Planet and the Planet Teens–which sounds weirdly familiar, right?–is just one more thing to keep us jazzed and enthralled.

That’s why we’re so excited to be able to present you with an exclusive preview The Toxic Avengers Comics #8 from Matt Bors and Fred Harper that AHOY Comics was kind enough to share. Check out the completely you-gotta-see-them-to-believe-them pages below ahead of the issue’s release on Wednesday, April 1!

From the official press release for the issue:

Meet Doctor Planet, an environmentally conscious hero for our age—upstanding on the outside, embittered on the inside. When he teams up with the Planet Teens for a massive brawl vs. Toxie on the streets of Washington, DC, monuments will fall! And characters will die! Which, you have to admit, is cool. Characters dying, I mean.
