We’ve known for a while now that Warner Bros.’s would be adapting Batman: Hush, the iconic DC Comics’ storyline from the creative team of Jeph Loeb, Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Alex Sinclair. However, until now, we haven’t a chance to take a peek as to what that adaptation would look like.

This week, the folks over at IGN revealed the first trailer for the animated feature that’s hitting this summer and, from what we’ve seen, it’s faithful to the tale that Loeb, Lee, Williams, and Sinclair set up, mixing personal moments with sweeping operatic bombast.

For the uninitiated, Hush follows the Dark Knight as he attempts to unravel an attempt on his life and his extended Bat-family, orchestrated by the mysterious eponymous villain. Entangled in this plot are a veritable Who’s Who of Batman’s villains, including the Riddler, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, and Killer Croc.

Batman: Hush—starring Jason O’Mara, Jennifer Morrison, Peyton List, Maury Sterling, Rainn Wilson, among many others—is available this summer on Blu-ray and digital download.
