Learning Klingon is so passé. Sure, Klingon is a beautiful language, but how will it help you in the real world? Luckily, the folks at Living Language and HBO understand that a language must be practical as well as pleasing to the ears and tongue and are bringing you Living Language Dothraki: A Conversational Language Course Based on the Hit HBO Series Game of Thrones. Now you, too, can speak the language of Khal Drogo and his bride Daenerys to your own moon of your life (or sun and stars, as the case may be).

living-language-dothraki (550x750) (550x750) (2)Language and culture consultant David J. Peterson has created a course that pulls words and phrases from the Game of Thrones series, while also including all new material and words from the Dothraki language.

Like other independent language learning courses, Living Language Dothraki will include vocabulary, pronunciation, and a grammar guide, as well as cultural notes so you can know your “Stallion Who Mounts the World” from your “Mother of Mountains”. The course can be purchased as a book and CD set, an online expanded language guide, or a mobile app, perfect for the heir of the Iron Throne who is on the go.

Come on, you know you want to pick up Living Language Dothraki. Once Daenerys assumes the throne we’ll all be speaking it anyway. Get a leg up in the game!

While the guide won’t be available until October, you can purchase it in its various iterations right now at the HBO Store and Living Language – Dothraki.
