It’s no secret that Kara Danvers’ famous Kryptonian cousin Clark Kent–that Superman fellar–will be flying into the first couple episodes of the season 2 premiere of The CW’s Supergirl. With the October 10th premiere date less than a month away, the network has swooped in with a locomotive full of set photos featuring Supergirl, Superman, and quite a few other cast members from the series.

Tyler Hoechlin, who portrays Clark Kent/Superman, is a much better fit as the Metropolis Marvel than he appeared to be in the first pic released of him in full costume. Then it again, it was just a first look and the Internet, in its usual, reasonable, not-at-all knee-jerk fashion, pounced on that picture accordingly. (Also, sarcasm.) Hoechlin fills out the outfit well and, personally, I actually prefer the look–minus whatever weird thing’s going on with the costume’s neckline–to the one currently seen in the DC films.

Season 2 of Supergirl, featuring Melissa Benoist and Tyler Hoechlin as the Maid of Might and the Man of Steel, premieres October 10th on The CW.
