Netflix’s Black Mirror returns this summer with more cautionary sci-fi tales about the dark side of technology and our dependence—and sometimes addiction—to it. The first trailer for the three-episode season—featuring Miley Cyrus, Topher Grace, and Anthony Mackie—just arrived, teasing twisted O. Henry-esque fables.
We don’t know what topics the episodes will focus on, but from what we can glean from the trailer, it looks as though there will be a focus on internet celebrity, mental health, social media, and marriage. Oh, and a life-affirming, Alexa-type doll brimming with positivity. Not creepy at all.
This is the first taste of Black Mirror we’ve gotten since last December’s well-received Bandersnatch episode, which allowed viewers to choose their own adventure with interactive features.
Black Mirror season 5 debuts Wednesday, June 5th, on Netflix.
