While we’ve already seen one trailer for March’s Captain Marvel, we didn’t get enough about actress Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers and her origins to whet our appetites, particularly her Earth roots and interactions with Samuel Jackson’s Nick Fury. The trailer that dropped during this week’s Monday Night Football gave us a bit of a treat, however, with more hints as to how an Earthling became a member of the alien Kree guard and later strikes out on her own.
The footage drops clues at how Carol found herself among the Kree as well as the Kree’s rivalry with the alien Skrull Empire. And we even get Nick Fury’s softer side, with him enamored of a little kitty cat. Sign us the Hell up.
Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8th, 2019.
