As directors, the Coen brothers (The Big LebowskiNo Country for Old Men) are known as much for their wordplay and examining the elasticity of language for both profound and comedic effect as they are for their plotting. That wordsmithery is front an center in this new clip for their upcoming film Hail, Caesar!, hitting theaters February 5th.

If you’ve shut off the trailer before the extended gag between Ralph Fiennes and Alden Ehrenreich has ended, go back. Trust me. The punchline is well worth it, drenched in a droll tounge-twistery as only the Coen brothers can.

Hail, Caesar!, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen and starring George Clooney, Frances McDormand, Jonah Hill, Josh Brolin, Tilda Swinton, and Scarlett Johansson, premieres February 5th.

Four-time Oscar®-winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen (No Country for Old Men, True Grit, Fargo) write and direct Hail, Caesar!, an all-star comedy set during the latter years of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Starring Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Channing Tatum, Hail, Caesar! follows a single day in the life of a studio fixer who is presented with plenty of problems to fix.

The comedy is produced by the Coen brothers under their Mike Zoss Productions banner alongside Working Title Films’ Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner.
