Tonight, our eyeholes and ear caverns got a chance to check out a short 30-second TV spot for March’s upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice from Warner Bros. After Superman puts a dent in the Batmobile (that totally can’t be knocked out and will probably eat into Batman’s time at a body shop and you just know it’s going to cost an arm and a leg and, yeah, Bruce Wayne has the coin to fix it, but it’s the principle of the thing and, let’s be honest, he most likely won’t actually take the Batmobile into a body shop because of the whole secret identity thing, so, basically, he’ll have a useless million dollar super car just collecting dust and guano in the Batcave, which will make the masked vigilante even grumpier if that were even possible), the Dark Knight asks the Man of Steel as he flies away, “Do you bleed?” (The commercial cut out the next line, “Because, if we can’t come to some understanding via an intermediary or ombudsman about what happens to my damaged goods, you will.”)
We’ve just got a little over two months until we find out who’ll win the civil court case of the busted ‘mobile in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, starring Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, Jeremy Irons, and Amy Adams and hitting theaters March 25th.
