One of the best parts of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther–a film brimming with so many wonderful “Oh wow!” moments–is that it shone the spotlight on the Dora Milaje, the fearsome all-female warrior elite of Wakanda. Viewers responded to the characters–obviously, how could they not?–and so Marvel Comics has taken that interest to give the warriors greater page-time, first in Amazing Spider-Man: Wakanda Forever and now in this week’s X-Men: Wakanda Forever. This installment follows the Dora as they follow the deranged and dangerous Nakia, who wishes to harm the Black Panther any way she can.
Check out these phenomenal exclusive preview pages–from writer Nnedi Okorafor; artists Ray Anthony-Height and Alberto Alburquerque, Juan Vlsaco, and Keith Champagne; colorist Erick Arciniega; and letterer Joe Sabino–that Marvel was kind enough to share!
X-Men: Wakanda Forever #1 goes on sale Wednesday, July 25th, from Marvel Comics.
