The Marvel Comics assassin-turned-hero known as Elektra has been in the spotlight much more frequently recently, and deservedly so. Elektra has a long history with the vigilante known as Daredevil, one that has allowed her to come into her own as her own and show the breadth and depth of her character. Writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Marco Checchetto have taken the hero to new heights as she has bared the mantle of Daredevil of late, fighting evil and tyranny with her partner and lover Matt Murdock, the original Daredevil.

This May, Marvel is celebrating the character with a variant cover for Daredevil #11, rendered by superstar cover artist Derrick ChewChew‘s linework and coloring are gorgeous and pay homage to Elektra in a fitting way. Check out his artistry below!
