Summer ain’t over kids, not by a longshot. And to remind you that there’s still time to make bad decisions, spill your hearts to your crushes only to have those hearts unceremoniously eviscerated, and engage in recklessness that would make Jim Morrison blush, Netflix has released a new, full-length trailer to its prequel to the cult classic Wet Hot American Summer.
The eight-episode Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp reunites Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, and the rest of the original crew of Camp Firewood, along with a few new faces. We just have to wait a scant more days until we get to meet the old gang again and lament how our own childhood summer experiences were often shitty by comparison.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp stars Bradley Cooper (Guardians of the Galaxy), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect), Molly Shannon (Saturday Night Live), David Hyde Pierce (Frasier), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Weird Al Yankovic, Chris Pine (Star Trek), Michael Cera (Arrested Development), Janeane Garofalo (Dogma), Ken Marino (Role Models), Michael Ian Black (Ed), Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: SVU), Joe Lo Truglio (Superbad), and Judah Friedlander (30 Rock). It hits Netflix July 31st.
