Coates’ dialogue in these preview pages alone sends chills up my spine. The verbal takedown of Thunderball–“We will make you into gardening”–He was filleted to his soul. And Kirk might be doing the best work of his career here, his Panther cutting an impressive, regal, dynamic form on the page. This T’Challa demands respect and Kirk makes sure he gets it.

Black Panther #167, written by Ta-Nehisi Coates with Leonard Kirk on art, goes on sale Wednesday, November 22nd, from Marvel Comics.

From the official issue description:

The Black Panther’s greatest enemy springs his trap! And with T’Challa off fighting the former gods of Wakanda, who will come to Ayo and Aneka’s aid? And this is only the beginning. A cadre of villains returns as Wakanda comes to its knees!
