While we don’t know precisely what the fallout will be at the close of Marvel’s Civil War II, solicitations for various titles hitting stands following the miniseries’ conclusion indicate that the universe’s superhero community will once again become fractured, echoing the end of the first Civil War story. How that will play out is still up in the air, but, in the meantime, Marvel has dropped some preview pages for Civil War II #5, dropping in comic shops on September 21st. From the official issue description, folks in the super-spandex’ed set are still none too pleased following the death of Bruce Banner–the Hulk–at the hands of Hawkeye:
As punches are thrown and the war hits a fever pitch, truth behind Ulysses’ predictive powers stands revealed – and it’s a game changer! Plus – an ending so shocking it’ll have the world talking!
Will either side be swayed when it comes to using the Inhuman at the center of this kerfuffle–Ulysses–and employing him to stop disasters and supervillain attacks before the occur? Can Ulysses’ powers even be relied upon with any degree of certainty? Looks as though we’re about to find out.
Civil War II #5, written by Brian Michael Bendis with David Marquez and Justin Ponsor on art, hits newsstands September 21st from Marvel Comics.
